Describes an object that displays the number assigned to a bidder when they register at the auction. When placing a bid, the potential buyer raises their paddle until such time as the auctioneer acknowledges the bid (through verbal or otherwise acknowledgement). Should you place the winning bid, your paddle number is noted down alongside your bid amount. When paying for your purchase, you may be required to bring your paddle to the Payments counter to complete the transaction.
